Students enrolled in main campus programs can expect these required fees. Fees are necessary to serve our students while they are here, and they help us protect, maintain, and operate our campus even when they are not. Required student fees support programs, services, and facilities on campus and online for which state funds are not available and/or cannot be used. We provide a detailed breakdown of tuition usage annually. Tuition is also supplemented by appropriations from the North Carolina General Assembly. Tuition is used to support a variety of functions at UNCG, including classroom instruction, student services, maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, need-based aid, and institutional support. UNCG will not review RDS designations or addresses beyond the final day of schedule adjustment for a given term. The URO will query RDS for address changes three times a semester: If the student changes either their RDS classification or RDS address after admission to the program, the University Registrar’s Office (URO) will add the attribute to the student’s record if applicable. Online programs offer students an additional value when students receive instruction outside the state of North Carolina. Students must apply for official residency determination through in order to receive in-state tuition and State financial aid consideration. Main campus courses are assessed at the main campus rate. Tuition and fees are not capped based on credit hours during the summer term. Online courses are assessed at the online rate. Charges are based on course location and delivery method (whether you’re taking an online class or coming to campus in person), regardless of your degree program.
